Alley of love in Zaporozhye was opened on August 8, near Kommunarskogo RAPA. This day was a landmloark for 22 couples who formalized their relationship this day. Decorations were a few colored sculptures of Vladimir Gulicha, a well known Zaporozhye artist.
To the creation of the Alley of lovers has been allocated 212,000 hryvnia (about 26,5 thousand USD), there were transplanted 78 trees from the construction site nearby. The main goal of the authors of the Mall was to create a special place for honeymooners and couples, where they will spend their leisure time, and photograph each other.
One of the main Alley jewels is a sculpture "Kissin dogs", huge kissing dogs, forming a large arch. The monument is made of concrete and iron, its height - 4,5 meters, width - 6 feet. According to the plan of the sculptor, kissing dogs represent the eternal love and happiness, so young people who have passed under them, are bound to be successful not only in personal life, but also in business. After installing the sculptures in the tradition of young people photographed against the backdrop of the famous monument on the day of the marriage ceremony.
February 14, Valentine's Day, Zaporozhye organizers decided to hold a flashmob at the Walk of love a rather unusual action. Under the scenario, two flash mobs have been run out on this alley with photos of the girls (guys) and start kissing pictures. Others gather the following in their footsteps. However, the Cossacks, for whatever reason, did not support this action and just have dances on the Alley, and two pairs of guys completed an unusual dance.
