Picturesque landscape of Zhitomir region has created a wonderful place for fans of rock climbing and active rest outside of the city. Impressive rocks that reach the height of 25 meters are enough to excite even the experienced sportsmen. Even though Denishi climbing wall is not too long, there are still plenty of rock climbing routes of various complexity levels. During summer the climbing wall is always crowded with people. What makes the area even more special is a magnificent forest that lies across the pond. The forest has a lot of giant oaks that managed to survive the shipbuilding era.
Beginners among rock climbers won’t have a problem with finding an instructor, as the nearby Denishi sanatorium is filled with professional rock climbers who come here to have a rest. There are some high complexity level tracks with steep walls, deep cracks, almost mirror-polished sections of rocks without any grip hooks that might prove difficult even for skilled climbers. However, people who are just beginning their rock climbing journey will find a lot of easy tracks that will be easy to cover with the help of an instructor. Active rest is often linked to certain risks, which is why beginners are urged to ask for help from experienced climbers who know the tracks well.
You can get to the climbing wall in two ways. The first route leads to Denishi through the sanatorium of the same name. The second route goes from Denishi to Trigorye village. As soon as you reach the dam, cross the bridge across Teterev river. You fill find the climbing wall on the right from the dam.
