M17 Gallery is one of the most popular and up-to-date centers of modern art. It was opened in Kiev in 2010. The founders say their main aim while opening the M17 Gallery was supporting and developing modern art in Ukraine. The gallery has a pretty good chance of becoming the epicenter of Kiev cultural life. The gallery creates a new generation of Ukrainian artists, who are brave, smart, well-educated and free-spirited.
The gallery halls are located in two floors that constitute 1.2 thousand square meters of area. Besides gallery halls, there is also an administrative office, an antique and restoration section, and storage. There is also a restaurant and a café. M17 Gallery can accommodate up to 3000 people at once.
The center supports modern art and contemporary talented Ukrainian artists, as well as represents these artists at international biennale, auctions, fairs, and other global art projects.
Kiev center of modern art foundation was supported by Italian Cultural Institute and Department of Culture of Kiev city council.
